Good morning Facebook, PHAmily, family, and frienemies.
I thank God for life, health, and a reasonable portion of strength.
As a young military wife fresh out of high school, I had to learn to trust and depend on strangers. Thank God that He allowed His SON, Jesus to watch over me in my travels.
I thank God that I knew about The Masonic Family and stayed with it throughout my travels.
Family is not always blood, but the Word states that Saints/believers are closer than blood.
My Prince Hall family has been there for me for over 40 years.
Each year gets better and better.
At this FCOD-FAGSA, Grand Session, I had the honor of meeting one of the sweetest Loyal Ladies, ever, She instructed me that as a Grand Officer, I get to sit with them, she introduced herself to me and made me feel so comfortable.
I was nervous but excited. As we begin to talk, I realized the person that I knew and asked to sit beside me because she knew of my disability, we became separated by vacant seats we used to store our purses and crown cases.
God knew what He was doing He was preparing me to expand myself to be receptive to true loyal ladies that portrayed peace, unity, and sisterhood.
We made sure each other had what we needed. I shared where the coffee and hot water were. She shared so much with me including the exchange of Red Velvet Cake for Pecan Pie. She did not know I was allergic to the red dye in the cake, but God did.
She was wondering why I was not eating? I did not want to tell her how to boogie I was. lol. I do not eat out unless I soak my silverware in hot water. It comes from being a food service manager as a School principal, we have to have food service manager training.
I know about the silverware so I always sterilize mine. People say it is being “boogie”, I say it is being careful. My new Loyal lady friend kept trying to get the waitress for me along with the Loyal Lady grand from my Assembly.
I got up and found my own hot water. When I brought it back to the table in a coffee cup everyone assumed it was coffee until I unwrapped all of my silverware and placed it in a cup of what they discovered was hot water. My Loyal Lady from my assembly smiled and said, the waitress came right after you left, I ordered the hot water for you. My new Loyal Lady SiStar said that is a good idea.
Again, she asked are you going to eat? I had eaten my salad but had not eaten my food. Making sure I was ok she said, Are you not going to eat? At that moment, I leaned over to her and shared my story with her. I informed her that I had been in a serious accident, broke my jaw, ruptured discs. The doctors went through my throat, placed screws in my neck, injured my vocals, and left me with a deep voice, nerve damage, and trouble swallowing. I said I would get my husband to cut up my food back in the room. She literally offered to cut up my food for me. That is unfiltered love and compassion. She won my respect. That is unity and peace to me. That is what the Golden Circle is all about being there supporting each other as we serve our communities and our state.
Florida is second to none, My PHAmily is better than yours.
Thank you my new Loyal Lady Rose Tisdale friend for everything.
