10-29-1959 On this day in History, God brought you out of mom’s womb. Happy Earth Birthday. Sister, as years go by, I thought it would get easier but every October 29, I feel like my heart is about to burst out. I remember the dreadful day all over again, Ashley calling me asking me me is it true that Auntie Kathi passed away.

I actually thought it was a sick joke because we had stayed on the phone most of the Friday night before Mother’s Day laughing, talking and remembering our childhood.

I never knew that would be my last conversation with you.
I know you are in a better place, you took off that body that was corrupt and took on incorruptible forever.

I miss you my sister. To all of you who think you have time, you do not. Make good memories, love while you have a chance. Forget petty mistakes that we all make and appreciate your sisters and brothers.
They are a part of you, good, bad, they are a part of you and when they leave the body back here to decay it is over until God sound His trumpet.

When all you have left is memories, I hope you have good ones because, there is no do overs.

You will remember every birthday, you will remember when you are doing nothing, all of a sudden, you will be flooded with them, make sure you have more good memories than bad.

With all of my heart and strength, I miss you sister. One thing, I know for sure, God changed your heart. I remember that night you said to me, if any of them think they will get into Heaven being hypocrites and not getting their lives in order, they have another think coming.

Your last conversation with me now as I reflect back let me know how proud you were of the change God had made in your life.

I miss ya, Sis and Happy Birthday but your Heavenly birthday will always be Mother’s Day. Rest Easy.
