Dear Lord, I have come to a close of another day and the beginning of a new morning. Thank you for carrying me forward to once again serve your people. You are good to me. You are my God, and I am your daughter. Every day is a new chance for Satan to capture my mind. You kept me when often I did not deserve your Grace. While I was yet sinning, you covered me with your sacrificial blood.
Forgive me my trespasses as I have forgiven those who trespassed against me. You hung on the cross so that you could intercede on my behalf.
You know my thoughts, my deepest sinful secrets, and you still have mercy on me. You are with me when my ugly attitude comes up, and you remind me that you purchased my body with your shed blood, bringing me back from the brinks of destruction. I thank you for that! When I act selfishly rather than selflessly, you rise up in me and shine through those dark clouds.
You forgive me for all of my sins, and you remember them no more. I thank you for that!
I live in this promise from you. You promised to never leave nor forsake me. Now that I might guide others to your bright light of Grace, help me to continue to walk openly with the world. Help me to be at a point where I can show others that even as I bring forth your Word through prophecy, Bible study or sermon, that I am clear that suffering is a part of my Christian journey just as another; help me to share my fears, my tears, my joys and my sorrows openly before the people as you did on this earth. Help them to see that you are a healer, a consoler, you are a burden bearer, and you are a Savior.
Lord, help all those who are awake with me at this time for one reason or the other. You are the best sleeping pill for the sleepless; you are the best partner for the lonely, you never sleep, so you may watch over your children. Dispatch your Heavenly angels throughout this world, Lord Jesus. Relieve the suffering and bring God back into our leadership. Lord, I understand that your Word must be fulfilled, Jesus, but we that are faithful need you right now. Take care of our elderly relatives, Lord. You said remember thy creator in the days of thy youth. Lord, for those who did their best to honor you and am now old, protect them from the evils of this generation.
